Institut für Systemimmunologie

Welcome to the newly founded Institute of Systems Immunology!

We are located in the heart of the medical campus of the University Würzburg, an internationally renowned, highly interactive network of life science research institutions. The aim of the Institute of Systems Immunology is to bring together scientist from different disciplines and backgrounds to collaboratively elucidate the mechanisms of how cells of the immune system communicate and interact with each other, as well as with non-hematopoietic cells in the many tissues in which they reside and contribute to physiologic organ functions, but also the defense against pathogens and tumors. We are applying cutting edge imaging techniques to visualize cell migration and interactions in vivo. These approaches are complemented by single-cell sequencing and a broad range of emerging techniques.

Job opportunities:

The Systems Immunology is expanding its teams!

We are seeking to generate a highly dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment. We are encouraging the application of motivated PhD students, PostDocs and Junior Group leaders from a broad range of fields including immunology, but also cell biology, genetics, physics and bioinformatics.
