This funding line within the MSNZ program supports a defined joint project between (at minimum) a Medical Scientist (postdocs in Life Sciences) with a focus on translational cancer research who would like to work in a team with a Clinician Scientist and is intended for a team of one CS and one MS. A Dr. med., PhD, Dr. rer. nat or an equivalent title is mandatory. Tenured professors are not eligible.

The project should focus on a relevant topic in translational cancer research and is expected to deliver tangible results within two years. The objectives should be clearly outlined in the project proposal. The proposal should be prepared jointly by both researchers (Medical Scientist + Clinician Scientist) and must be written in English.

Applicants are required to contact a research group at the University of Würzburg or the University Hospital Würzburg where they intend to carry out their project. For PhD applicants, a letter of support from the intended host group will be required, while MDs must hold (or have secured) a position as a physician at the University Hospital Würzburg or the University of Würzburg.
