The groups of Dr. Angela Riedel and Dr. Kai Kretzschmar are seeking for a technical assistant (f/m/g) for their immuno-oncology laboratories.

The Mildred Scheel Early Career Center (MSNZ) for Cancer Research at the University and the University Hospital of Würzburg is looking for a

Technical Assistant (f/m/g)

to isupport the immuno-oncology labs of Angela Riedel and Kai Kretzschmar.  

The newly established junior research groups are located at the Institute for Virology and Immunobiology. The groups aim at better understanding how the body’s immune system finds and destroys foreign substances and aberrant cells to help fighting cancer. They use in vivo tools as well as organoid technology (‘mini organs’) to study cancer and explore new avenues for cancer immunotherapy.

We are looking for
highly motivated individuals with experience in the management and organization of research laboratories (documentation, protocols, ordering consumables, preparing stock solutions, helping prepare animal ethics applications), and training in cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques and animal work including husbandry (FELASA certificates), ideally also histology and organoid technology.


The position is available
from May/June 2020, based on TV-L salary and initially funded for two years. It will be a shared position between the two laboratories.
