About Us

Mental disorders occur early and are highly prevalent affecting up to 20% of all children and adolescents in Germany. The German Center of Prevention Research in Mental Health has been founded in 2019 as an interdisciplinary research institute aiming to systematically translate basic science and clinical research into the development, evaluation and implementation of prevention programs.

Mission and Aims

Sternstunden-Prevention Center

We are constructing a new institute building for the GCPM! This has been facilitated by the contribution of Sternstunden e.V. who have provided 1 mio. € in order to realize the new “Sternstunden-Prevention Center”. We have initiated the construction in 2020 and expect to have finished end of 2021.
