BRE-4-MED

Dear Homepage visitors,

the BRE-4-MED registry is currently in the pilot study (March - May 2018). With the help of this pilot study, the implementation of the study and its acceptance by the patients and doctors will be examined. It is, so to speak, the "dress rehearsal" for the main study from 2019 (in the case of positive funding by the BMBF).

The focus of this pilot study is therefore to test the questionnaires and "data paths" (for example, transfer the questionnaires from the clinic to the Method Center, post-survey the patients by post) therefore only about 40 patients are enrolled in this study. Based on the feedback and results of this test phase, the BRE-4-MED Registry will eventually be adapted. We thank all patients who participate in this pilot study!

Welcome to the website of the registry for  „Breast Cancer Care for patients with metastatic disease“ (BRE-4-MED).

The implementation of this patient-based registry officially began on September 1st, 2017.

The registry „BRE-4-MED“ will assess the quality of life and the needs of patients with metastatic breast cancer and the provision of disease specific health care , in the region of Main-Franconia be. The registry will contribute to high-quality and patient-oriented care in the region of Main-Franconia.

The aim of the project is to provide reliable information on treatment and its course for patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer. In particular the patient’s view should be considered. To pave the way for a successful project, BRE-4-MED relies on the support of all parties involved in the diagnostic and therapy of breast cancer.
