Almut Schulze: Cancer Metabolism
Summary
Our group is interested in the deregulation of cellular metabolic activity that is found in human tumors. Alterations in metabolic activity support the proliferation of cancer cells and are crucial for cancer development. Our work aims to understand the mechanisms that lead to metabolic changes in cancer cells and to identify specific metabolic processes that could be targeted for cancer therapy.
